Cancer has touched many of us in many different ways and David and Bill’s families are no different to anyone else's, and yes, they too have felt the devastating effects of cancer.
They believe it's time to act and raise money for cancer research, so they decided to get involved in the Cancer Council's Shitbox Rally (SBR) to raise money for cancer research. In May 2017, they will be driving from Adelaide to Cairns in 7 days in a car that costs approximately $1,000.
They are participating in the 2017 Shitbox Rally in loving memory and in tribute to the family members that they themselves have lost to cancer and along with the recent loss of fellow Chubb colleague Trevor Yeats, and David himself being diagnosed with cancer this year, they believe this is a worthwhile challenge.
This rally has nothing to do with speed or who finishes first - it's just all about finishing and raising both awareness and funds to fight cancer.
They are reaching out to you, looking for help to raise money in order to make the starting line. They need to raise at least $4,000 and once they reach the destination of Cairns, the car will be auctioned and the proceeds donated to the Cancer Council.
